Nikoletta is a painter who lives and works in a seaside village located in the provinces of Central Greece. She was born in 1979 and received her MEng in Civil Engineering by the University of Manchester. Her wish to study Art was not encouraged by her family, but the urge to create was always present and expressed in her early works with collage. She exploited various resources, including books and online courses in order to train herself as an artist. Most notably, she has completed the online course ?Contemporary Drawing and Painting?, hosted by UAL Central Saint Martins, while she actively participates in the OpenUp, Creative Europe Program – hosted in Greece by the Department of Architecture UTH.

She finds Paul Klee?s chromatic gradations and the figurative works of Lucian Freud and Jenny Saville very inspiring. Her academic training as an engineer also inevitably influences her work.

?She has participated in group-exhibitions in Athens and London. ?Red Stitches? is the title of her most recent body of work.
